Connection-free eco-toilets

Is there a toilet that can be always clean, hygienic and performing without being connected to the water network and without chemicals?

Every urban context has its peculiarities which often demands adaptation. Parks, pic-nic areas, golf courses, woods, mountain tracks, are just few of the situations in which there is not the possibility to connect to any of the public network usually available in town (water, electricity, sewerage). Nevertheless also these urban context require reliable and performing public toilets.

PTMatic has conceived a solution to this apparently tricky situation.

The solution

The need was to get a hygienic solution without connections. The idea was to exploit the heat of the sun and the air flow to perform a job similar to that performed by flushing water.

It was not an easy job to design and implement the T AIR and its features, but it was exciting. We put ourselves on a test and tried to put the project into a context, specifically in an environment which is different than the usual city context, but is a wood, a meadow, an orchard, a garden, a holiday farm, o trekking course…

T AIR has an outer structure fully harmonized with the surrounding environment combined with an engaging intuition. T AIR exploits the action of air and sun to make solid waste inorganic and to promote the evaporation of liquids, without connection to the public network.

It is a versatile, hygienic, eco-friendly and cost-saving solution that can be installed anywhere; in addition, the wide internal room makes it accessible also for disabled people. This technology can be installed inside a housing built by the end-customer or in a kind of small cabin proposed by PTMatic.

Beaches, agricultural areas, orchards and gardens, natural reserves, and basically every place where it is not possible to connect to the public facilities, are the fit spot to install an air toilet, connection-free T AIR. Just eco-logic.
